I drew the floor plan of our cabin last fall when we went to Devil's Den State Park in Arkansas. I liked the record, so I think it's going to become a tradition. I did this left handed again.
So many details of life can get lost if they're not recorded...Love your little map & note. Working with the other hand: I had to do it for a time in my life due to an injury to my working hand. I learned a lot & while it was difficult, it opened up channels...Bravo for you!
What seems ordinary at the time--a floor plan of a cabin or a recording of what we ate for dinner, for example--can be of the utmost interest years later when paging through our sketchbooks or journals. I love looking back on my photos and notes from trips, and even from everyday life. It's so easy to forget the substance of life.

Thank you Sketchbook Wandering. Sorry to hear you also had an injury to your dominant hand, but glad it was awhile ago.
Kathy - I love the way you said "It's so easy to forget the substance of life." It's so true!
