Africa Scrapbook Part 1

I don't post here very often anymore; I'm not sure why. But my husband and I went on safari to South Africa, Zambia, and Botswana in September, and it was the trip of lifetime. We made a scrapbook of the trip, and I want to share that scrapbook here. I have scrapbooked much of my life, and I've been doing my scrapbooking digitally for many years now. In the past, I would create a page, print that page on my photo-quality, large-format home printer, and then put the page into a page protector in an album. My photo-quality printer died last year, and we bought a VERY inexpensive replacement for it that is neither photo-quality nor large-format; the largest size paper it can print on is 8.5" X 14" (our large-format printer could print on 13" X 19" paper, making it easy to create 12" X 12" scrapbook pages). I had never used a service to print my scrapbook pages before, which means I had also never created a whole book. But this trip was so special that we felt it deserved its own book. So my husband and I worked together to create this book. The majority of the photos are his; the layouts of the pages are mine. The journaling is from both of us. We ordered the book from Adoramapix, and we are extremely pleased with the results. The book has 42 pages plus the cover, so I will upload them in several posts over a number of days. This first post shows the cover, our itinerary, and the first 3 pages. You can click on the pages to see them larger and read the journaling.
