The Big Over Easy by Jasper Fforde
This is the first book in a new series by the author of the Thursday Next Series (The Eyre Affair, Lost in a Good Book, The Well of Lost Plots, and Something Rotten). Detective Inspector Jack Spratt is head of Reading's Nursery Crime Division. He is investigating the murder of Humpty Dumpty with his new Detective Sergeant Mary Mary. It is a witty and enjoyable read, but not as good as the earlier series. I rate this book 3 out of 5.

Thanks Cheryl for the book review...I am still laughing at the plot. How imaginative. I will see if I can find it. I am starting a Jane Austen book club this month...all by email. Our first book is Northanger Abbey. Would you be interested? So far there are 6 of us over the country. Let me know. We have 3 weeks to read the book, some questions to answer in email, and then whatever comments and thoughts we want to share. :)
