I agree about the watercolor paper. For a long time I worked in a handbook journal, which is great for quick sketches, but not when you're trying to learn watercolor. I would get frustrated because I couldn't make the paint move like I wanted to. Once I started on watercolor paper, it all fell into place and using watercolors made sense, and they reacted properly.
Cheryl, these are great! Glad to hear you're making friends with the watercolors! WC pencils and watercolor paints can give you some great effects as you're finding out and paper makes ALL the difference in the world!
