Our Big Adventure

I didn't even know what this piece of equipment was as I was sketching it. It was much more rusted than it looks in my sketch, but I didn't have a lot of time - I was just glad to get as much of it done as I did.

Lovely sketch, Cheryl! I really enjoy finding old and rusty machinery.

Actually, it's not a planter. It's a three-point hitch mower deck, driven off the Power Take Off from the back of the tractor. There's a heavy rotating blade under it that causes much noise and destruction to anything it hits. We had one for our Ford 8N tractor when I was growing up. My Dad wouldn't let us kids mow with it because it was too dangerous. And it was. I've seen it hit debris and kick it out 50 yards. It's a beast. Great sketch of it!. I like the red, too. Glad you're still geocaching.

John's right. Turns out there was also a planter in the field and my DH thought I was asking about it. I was so focused on the mower deck I barely noticed anything else in the field! LOL!!
