Sumi-e 1

I took a Sumi-e class while we were in Crested Butte for the Wildflower Festival in July.

The journaling reads, "This was my favorite of all the pieces I did in class on 7/14. It is all about how to 'distill the essence of an object in the fewest possible strokes.' I have a long way to go! But the class was fun."

Lovely, Cheryl, and remember: we all start from somewhere. Looks as though you are well on your way!
Cheers!

This is something I've always wanted to do! You did a great job. Love the variety of grays in your strokes!
