Doldrums

I've been in kind of a funk the last few days, so I thought I needed to do something to shake things up. This is what I came up with. I drew the curved lines in pencil and then just started writing in pen, without working it out beforehand. That's a breakthrough of sorts for me - I generally have to see that everything will fit first.

I like this page very much, Cheryl. I can certainly identify with the feeling, so maybe it's time to crack open the sketchbook journal and play!

I LIKE it!! I like even more knowing that you trusted yourself to take a chance that it would all "work out!"

Color is an excellent way to bust through the doldrums. My best antidote to the blahs, blues, or whatever you call them is to keep moving, to keep showing up and going through the motions until the motion takes over.

Hugs to you! Hope you're feeling up to a Happy New Year!

Mm..., I like it too. Great way to get over feeling a bit blue. How's that broken ankle going? That's enough to make you feel in the doldrums. Keep doing those wonderful drawings and that means you'll be cheering others up. Like me. Happy New Year to you and your family, Carol xx

Thanks everyone. The ankle is doing much better - healing as it's supposed to. I'm using the crutches less and less each day and in a little over a week I'm supposed to start taking the boot off some.
