Blog Giveaway Day 5

I made this ATC while taking Sue Bleiweiss's class, Mixed Media Surfaces for the Fiber Artist. I started with a base of wool felt, then used Misty Fuse fusible web and fused on a variety of things - dyed cheesecloth, mulberry bark, fibers, ribbon, organza, painted paper towels, foil, tulle. I used several layers of Misty Fuse, which is so light that you hardly know it's there. I cut it up into postcards and ATCs, then satin stitched the edges.

Remember to leave me a comment if you're interested in winning this.

LOVE the card! I took Sue's class too, but didn't really keep at it long enough to get anything cool like that finished! I think I'll go back and do the lessons again after seeing your beautiful card. I ordered all the materials - might as well use them!

Very nice piece!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Misty Fuse!! Not only that it's so thin it doesn't seem to add a heavy hand to the piece, but also that little bit of glitz you get hiding under the cheesecloth or organza after you sandwiched it and fused it between the layers.

Cheryl, I love all of your cards so far but this one is my absolute favorite. The colors just sing and the decorative finishes are beautiful. You do such gorgeous work and I always enjoy looking at your fabulous pieces.

Such an energetic piece here .. the colors the layers ... it all reminds me of little birds taking off for their first Spring flight after a rain storm.
